Bee-Energiedialog 2024: Ambitious goals and challenges of the energy transition in Germany

Today, the Bee-Energied dialog took place in Berlin to initiate the energy policy year 2024. The event was carried out by the State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection, Dr. Philipp Nimmermann, as well as representatives from the energy industry and the media. Almost 6000 guests turned digitally. Dr. In his speech, Nimmermann emphasized the progress in the implementation of the energy transition and emphasized that in 2023 there was a remarkable increase in the installed solar and wind power performance.

Local effects in Berlin are also noticeable because the city is increasingly investing in renewable energies. Berlin has set itself the goal of becoming climate -neutral by 2050, and promoting renewable energies is an important part of this plan.

dr. Simone Peter, the President of the Bee, underlined the importance of the energy transition and demanded that the reforms to be continued in the energy sector. It also emphasized the democratic nature of the project and the role of the regions in the implementation. Apart from the political and economic aspects, the energy transition also plays an important role for the citizens of Berlin. Due to the increased use of renewable energies, local jobs can be created and the air quality in the city can be improved.

Overall, the Bee-Energiedalog clearly shows the importance of the energy transition for Berlin and the progress that has already been made. It remains exciting to observe how the energy transition will develop in Berlin and all of Germany in the coming years.
