Cash in danger? New association is fighting for the payment of the future!
Berlin, Deutschland - The new Federal Association of Cash was counted in Berlin! Founded to ensure the acceptance and availability of cash in Germany. In view of the dwindling number of bank branches and an increasing trend towards cashlessness, it is according to Dr. Friedemann Berg, the first chairman, urgently needed to initiate the social discussion about the role of cash. The association, emerged from an initiative of several SME associations, wants to make sure that cash remains an integral part of payment transactions.
The association demands that all business and service providers in Germany are obliged to accept cash. In addition, access to cash for citizens and companies must be guaranteed at a reasonable distance, and the fees for cash transactions should be limited to a maximum of 0.05 %. With the foundation of this association, the cash lobby clearly positions itself in the current debate about payment methods and at the same time deals with a survey by the Bundesbank, in which 93 % of those surveyed have stated that they want to decide how they want to pay.
