Anti -Semitic attack in Berlin: Israeli tourist brutally beaten up
Again a Jew in Berlin was the victim of a disgusting attack. An Israeli tourist named Jonathan (19) was attacked in the multicultural district of Kreuzberg on Saturday evening at 10:15 p.m. together with his well -known Avia (18). The two were on their way to their apartment when Jonathan spoke to a friend in Hebrew.
Suddenly a car stopped next to them, from which three men about 20-year-olds got out. One of them with Bart spoke to Jonathan in German, but he showed that he did not understand the language. Then he was suddenly beaten from behind and fell to the ground. While he was lying on the ground, it was further attacked by the three men. Jonathan says: "I just thought when this nightmare finally stops?"
his girlfriend, completely desperate and frightened, cried and screamed for help. When the attackers were finished, they drove away with their car and celebrated loudly with Arabic music. The 19-year-old was beaten up by Arabs, just because of his Jewish origin. A concussion and bruises were diagnosed in the hospital at Jonathan.
The state protection is now investigating because of dangerous bodily harm and checks a possible anti -Semitic background of the attack. However, Jonathan and Avia are not intimidated and continue their vacation.
Israel's ambassador Ron Prosor reacted to the incident and emphasized that Israelis and Jews should not feel unsafe in the streets of Berlin or any other German city. He appealed to the German authorities to take all the necessary measures to stop such attacks and the agitation against Israel and Jews before it is too late.
It is terrifying that such anti -Semitic attacks are becoming increasingly common in Berlin. It is necessary that the authorities vigorously act against this type of violence and ensure that people can certainly move Jewish faith in the German capital. Everyone has the right to walk through the streets without fear of violent attacks, regardless of their origin or religion. It is time to set a clear sign against anti -Semitism and to stand up for a tolerant and cosmopolitan society.
