Doctors in dialogue: Design of the new GOÄ creates lively discussions
A tingling topic concerns the minds of the medical profession: the new fee schedule for doctors (GOÄ)! In a current statement, Federal Medical Association President Dr. Klaus Reinhardt emphasizes the urgency and importance of a comprehensive examination of the offer of private health insurance (PKV) designed a few weeks ago. "It is essential that the medical associations and specialist societies deal intensively with the proposal!" Reals Reinhardt and underlines the importance of this integration for the quality of the future GOÄ.
In an urgent appeal, the President tries to move the 165 associations involved in contacting the Federal Medical Association directly if you have any questions. In this way, unwanted misunderstandings in dealing with the new reviews are to be avoided. "This active integration is crucial!" He emphasizes, while he emphasizes the cooperation of the associations as the core element of the entire amendment of recent years.
The long way to settle
Reinhardt further explains that the medical community has repeatedly developed its own reviews in recent years, which served as a foundation for negotiations with the PKV. It was clear that it was impossible to include all 165 associations in the time-consuming finalization talks. "That would have pulled the negotiations unnecessarily in length!" Said Reinhardt.
The negotiations were hard and determined. But the PKV vehemently held on to its positions and often could not understand the reviews of the doctors. "So nobody was allowed to surprise that in the end a compromise, and not an easy one, was on the table!", Reinhardt points out.
In a conversation with the associations on August 28 and on September 11, the financial framework of the compromise was presented. But the actual coordination failed to do: "It was simply a non -binding first feedback!" Clarifies the President. The associations are of course entitled to reject the proposal after examination, which Reinhardt also communicated in all clarity.
invitation to clarifying conversations
"Time is forced!" Says Reinhardt and explains that the associations were asked to get to the Federal Medical Association before feedback at the prices in order to discuss possible fundamental problems together. Some associations have already signaled that they need more time to check. "We take this time!", The President promises.
In order to create the apparently breaking misunderstandings and uncertainties out of the world, Reinhardt plans another clarifying meeting with the associations. "We stand at a crucial fork in the road and have to discuss together which course we want to take in in the future!" Reinhardt concludes his appeal.
In the pulsating capital of Berlin, the climate is tense, and the medical profession is responsible for devoting itself to this topic with determination. The upcoming decisions could have far -reaching consequences - for doctors, insurance companies and above all for the patients!
