The association announced this gratifying news on Thursday. Schmidt, who already played for Turbine from 2006 to 2012 and 2015 to 2021, is looking forward to your return.

During her previous time in Potsdam, Schmidt was able to celebrate four German championships and the Champions League victory. In between, she also wore the jersey of the 1st FFC Frankfurt. With the German national team, she became European champion in 2009 and 2013. After her farewell from Potsdam, Schmidt played in the last two seasons at the Swedish top club FC Rosengard.

When returning to Turbine Potsdam, Bianca Schmidt will also keep her old number 20. With regard to her new cooperation with the club, she says: "My sporting career in the 1st Women's Bundesliga began at Turbine Potsdam 17 years ago. I won almost everything that can only be won with turbine and have grown up here over the years." The footballer has also completed a studies as a police commissioner and would now like to use her experience to bring Turbine Potsdam back into the 1st division.

Bianca Schmidt could celebrate her comeback for Turbine Potsdam next Sunday (2 p.m.). The team will play his first preparatory game against the second division club FC Carl Zeiss Jena.
