25 new trainees start their career in the Treptow-Köpenick district

A very special occasion is on the agenda in the Treptow town hall today. District Mayor Oliver Igel and the training management of the Treptow-Köpenick district office warmly welcomed 25 new trainees and four dual students. These young people have prevailed in an extremely competitive selection process against impressive 590 other applicants to start their professional path in the Treptow-Köpenick district office.

Today's greeting falls during a time when the demand for qualified specialists in public administration is steadily increasing. The district office Treptow-Köpenick takes on a pioneering role by committed to the training of new talents. This is not only a profit for the institution itself, but also for the entire community that will benefit from new ideas and fresh vigor.

The new trainees are trained in a variety of training occupations, which reflects the versatile requirements and fields of activity in the district office. There are a total of five different training directions:

  • 2 City Secretary candidates
  • 13 administrative assistant/administrative assistant
  • 3 administrative assistant with the focus "Ordnungsamt"
  • 1 surveying technician
  • 3 gardeners in gardening and landscaping
  • 2 specialists for media and information services
  • 1 IT specialist

Another aspect of this training is that a gardener from the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district office will also receive support in order to deepen his knowledge.

dual courses for the future

From October 1, 2024, the team will be supplemented by two students in the dual course of study "public administration", a student in the "Social Work" course and a student in the dual course of administrative information. In the summer semester, four dual students for this area and four for social work have already been stopped. The district office Treptow-Köpenick thus shows that it also actively promotes academic training of specialists.

The district office currently employs a total of 67 trainees and 36 dual students, which shows how important the development of specialists for the institution is.
