In a breathtaking progress, Telekom has launched two new 5G locations in the past two months. Georg von Wagner, company spokesman for Deutsche Telekom, has already predicted it: "The need for bandwidth is constantly increasing - around 30 percent per year." This sentence clearly shows how urgently the expansion of the mobile networks is. The new technology will not only expand the cover in the Zwickau district enormously, but also revolutionize the possibilities for all mobile phone users.

What does that mean specifically? With the new 5G locations, the mobile phone cover will increase rapidly and the use becomes an experience-online gaming, streaming or video calls without jerking are now also possible in previously under-supplied areas. The latest technology will not only support Zwickau, but also the A72 motorway in front of Hartenstein. A clear upgrade for the region!

But Telekom is not only planning to stop here! The Zwickau district can look forward to another 19 new locations, which are to be put into operation by 2026. And that's not all: At 49 additional radio masts, extensions with LTE or 5G are in the pipeline! In total, Telekom already manages 127 locations in the region, with an impressive budget coverage of almost 100 percent. That sounds like high-speed future!
