Future of the city: AIV lecture on sustainable Berlin on October 17th

On Thursday, October 17th, the AIV invites you to the series "Always Modern!" for a gripping lecture on the future of urban development in Berlin. From 6 p.m. in the Humboldt Hall of the State Library Unter den Linden, everything revolves around the most burning questions of sustainable urban districts and the necessary renewal of the heat and electricity infrastructure in the capital. Experts from energy supply, project development and architecture, including Georg Friedrichs von Gasag and the architect Tobias Nöfer, will present their innovative visions.

The focus is on exciting projects such as the planned residential and commercial accommodation "BEU" in Oberschöneweide and the controversial development "Pankower Tor", which is on ice due to issues. Finally, the lectures and discussions address how Berlin can become climate -neutral, including traffic concepts without private transport and the expansion of public transport connections. This is an opportunity to find out about the challenges and opportunities that modern urban planning brings. Interested parties are invited to register on this promising topic and to take part in it, according to the AIV.
