Train failures between Berlin and Frankfurt: Oberleitungschad in Grünheide!
In Potsdam, damage to the overhead line caused massive traffic problems on the RE1 route between Berlin and Frankfurt (Oder). Since about 8:10 a.m., the route had been closed because of the incident between the fishing lock and Hangelsberg, which led to many travelers at the Erkner train station, as the trains ended and then returned towards Berlin. The first trains run again, but delays and failures can continue to occur, reports www.maz-online.de .
The damage is located near the Tesla plant in Grünheide, and so far external influence has been excluded. Investigators suspect that the shuttle could be related to the Tesla plant in connection with the incident. In August, a new fully electric train on the route between Erkner and the Tesla site was put into operation, which is operated by Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn AG.
