Central Association of Bäckerwandwerk: Reform for a strong future
important reforms in the bakery trade: a new way for the future
Berlin, 10.09.2024 - The current annual conference of the Central Association of German Bakery has heralded far -reaching changes. Members of the organization have agreed on a comprehensive structural reform that not only promote the integrity of the sector, but should also ensure the mobilization of the bakers against contemporary challenges.
This important meeting in Essen was particularly concerned with the challenges that the craft bakeries face. Participants discussed legal matters such as the ban on children's food advertising and the planned design regulation, which address emotionally loaded topics that affect the industry. But the legislation is not only relevant; The overall economic and socio -political framework also throw shadows on the future of the bakery.
The integration of the advertising community, which once acted as an independent association in 1971, marks a decisive turning point. From the end of this calendar year, this community will continue as a separate department within the central association. Roland Ermer, President of the Central Association, suggests that this measure will strengthen both public relations and advocacy. "The companies need an effective unit of these two areas," explains Ermer and emphasizes that the merger of resources will lead to more efficient use.
Silke Gorißen, the Minister of Agriculture and Consumer Protection, emphasized the need to strengthen the craft in her greeting. "Bakers not only provide us with a staple food, but also bring innovations into a traditional craft," she said. This support of politics could be crucial to facilitate the challenges of the market to the bakeries.
A central component of the reform is the introduction of a new statute that enables members more flexibility and participation. These fundamental changes allow the association to react better to current developments and offer space for specific advisory boards that support work at a technical level.
"Work and performance must be worthwhile again," continued Ermer, and emphasizes the political need for action that is necessary for a medium -sized policy. The new structure stipulates that the advocacy and public relations work in the future are considered the core tasks of the Central Association. Matthias Grenzer, a member of a presidium, underlines the importance of public relations at a time when digital communication is of the utmost importance. The latest decisions are a step in the right direction to strengthen the visibility and influence of the bakery industry.
