Haubs advertising showcases in Berlin: Protest campaign against Rammstein concerts sparked
The action group "Rammnein!" Has started a protest campaign against the Rammstein concerts in Berlin. According to their own statements, they have hijacked advertising showcases in Berlin and provided their own posters. The poster show Rammstein singer Till Lindemann and represent him in a provocative pose. The lettering "perpetrators" is above the picture. The group criticizes that, despite the allegations against Lindemann and the ongoing investigation, Rammstein can play three concerts in Berlin. They accuse the Olympiastadion Berlin GmbH and thus the state of Berlin to give the perpetrators a space.
The Berlin police have confirmed that such a poster was discovered in an advertising showcase at the Westkreuz S-Bahn station. The poster is now being removed from the S-Bahn Berlin. However, the police were not aware of any further events.
The campaign group criticizes the decision of the State of Berlin in its communication to have the concerts. Despite over 75,000 signatures of a counter -petition and the current situation, the state of Berlin benefits from the concerts. The group calls for a ban on the concerts and joins the demands of the signatories: Rammstein does not belong on the stage!
The first of three Rammstein concerts took place on Saturday evening in the Berlin Olympic Stadium. There were protests in advance. Some called for a cancellation of the concerts on the basis of the allegations made against Lindemann. However, interior senator Iris Spranger explained that she could not ban the concerts. However, the aftershow parties were prohibited in the properties of the senator.
Cultural Senator Joe Chialo also spoke out against a ban on the concerts. There is currently no legal lever for a ban, and no one should not be prejudiced.
Several women have accused front man Till Lindemann. It is reported on scary situations and sexual actions at aftershow parties. Lindemann rejects the allegations. His lawyers describe the allegations as untrue and refer to claims in social networks.
The Berlin public prosecutor's office has initiated an investigation against Lindemann. The presumption of innocence applies until the investigation was completed.
