Water polo sensation in Magdeburg: New trainer is aiming for cup room!

The Wasserball team from Magdeburg is ready for the sharp start of the new season! Under the direction of the new player coach Tim Richter, who has the goal of reaching the top four in the league with his young, dynamic squad of 24 players, the team starts in the DSV Cup on Saturday. Despite the absence of the goalkeeper Alessandro Simeoni, who leaves for professional reasons, there is a replacement: The 20-year-old Finn Stroh, who previously played at SG Neukölln and can already look back on valuable experience.

Richter would like to introduce the talented young players to the experience of the regular players, such as 17-year-old Christoph Lindner and 15-year-old Kristjan Pasko. With an average age of 26.3 years, the team is optimistic about the future. The Magdeburg waterball players have big ambitions, even promotion to the Bundesliga, which is also strengthened by cooperation with the Wolfenbüttel swimming club. On Saturday evening there is also the option of purchasing tickets from 5 p.m. at the box office - adults pay 5 euros, reduced tickets are available for 3 euros. Who will conquer the water basin? The tension increases!
