On Friday, January 10, 2025, the voters were created for the early Bundestag election in Berlin by the State Office for Citizens' and Ordinary Matters (Labo). A total of 2,425,618 citizens are entitled to vote, which means a decline of more than 30,000 voters compared to the last Bundestag election on September 26, 2021. From January 13, 2025, the election notifications will be sent to all eligible voters who should be completed by February 1, 2025. To apply for your postal voting documents, voters can use the QR code on the back of the election notification, which makes the process considerably easier. Even without notification, applications can be made for postal voting, but the deadline for this is Friday, February 21, 2025. In addition, the postal voting documents can be obtained from 10th to 2025 in the postal voting points that are open at specified times, so Service.berlin.de.

eligible voters who are prevented on election day can either use the postal voting on site or submit their vote by post. The postal voting documents must have been received by the responsible district election office by Sunday, February 23, 2025 at the latest. It is recommended to submit the documents directly to the district election office in order to avoid delays from posting. If the application for a ballot is rejected, there are ways to object as to how the law is regulated.
