Caution, Berlin! The brazen thieves in subway stations on the way!

In Berlin there are increasingly brazen pickpockets in subway stations. An incident at the Kottbusser Tor underground station occurred on Friday evening, December 13, in which a 19-year-old was cheated. The young man waited in his place around 11:15 p.m. when a stranger asked him with a crutch and sat next to him. A short time later, a 26-year-old tried to start a conversation. After the 19-year-old had rejected a handshake, the man began with the dance movements around his leg-an obvious diversion maneuver. After the duo left the train station, the adolescent determined the loss of his wallet and immediately filed a complaint with the police. This was able to arrest the 26-year-old in Reichenberger Straße a little later, but did not find the stolen wallet, but only a cell phone that probably came from another theft, such as berlin.de reported.

repeat offenders at Hermannplatz

On the same evening there was another theft: At around 6.45 p.m., a 38-year-old woman at Hermannplatz underground station was taken out of her jacket pocket unnoticed. Fortunately, there was quickly forces who were there because of another incident and were able to arrest the 30-year-old perpetrator. The cell phone was returned to the owner. During the review, it also turned out that the arrested person is illegally in Germany, which caused the police to hand over the investigation to the specialist commissioner for foreign laws, such as berlin-live.de reported.

The Berlin police urgently warns all passengers to be particularly attentive and always keep an eye on their valuables so as not to become victims of these unscrupulous stitches.
