From overgrown castle park to the exotic animal paradise - Berlin's geo -zoo!

Tierpark Berlin, Deutschland - nag/nag editor - the overgrown castle park Friedrichsfelde, an impressive area of 160 hectares, was transformed into a spectacular zoo! Within a year, thousands of volunteers transformed this place into a true animal paradise in the national structure (NAW). The spacious avenues and natural areas invite you to explore, while numerous enclosures take care of the over 8000 exotic and native animals.

The heart of the zoo is the legendary predator house, once the largest animal house in the world, now equipped with a breathtaking tropical hall and rare animal species. Founded by visionary Heinrich Dathe, the zoo should not be a prison for animals, but a place of relaxation and consciousness for nature and species protection. After the turn, the park was about to end, but the Berliners were not ready to give up their treasure. Under the direction of Dr. Andreas Knieriem is now being redesigned as a geo-zoo, with innovative habitats for the animals. This history of rebirth and transformation makes the Berlin Tierpark one of the largest landscape animal gardens in Europe, popular with young and old.
