In a unique exhibition in the gallery in the hall building, the multidisciplinary artist Jota Kayodê Ramos presents his works that explore the topics of "race" and gender identity in an innovative way.

Jota Kayodê Ramos creates a room with his work to portray the body's authenticity as a bipoc trans* person. Through performance, video, installation, photography and poetry, he reflects his experiences, struggles and triumph, which creates an anti -racist representation of sociality and marginalized identities.

The exhibition invites visitors to discover the complex stories and perspectives of a trans* person and their transition. Every work in the exhibition is a powerful testimony of the strength, beauty and complexity of bipoc and trans experiences, and contributes to questioning existing social norms.

The artist behind the works

Jota Kayodê Ramos, a transmasculine, non-binemic artist from Brazil, lives and works in Berlin. Known as Mandrake Mermaid Xtravaganza, he is a co -founder of the “Workdatcxnt” project, which focuses on transmascular people, especially bipoc.

The exhibition "A Man of many parts" by Jota Kayodê Ramos runs from August 3 to October 27, 2024 in the gallery in the hall building in Berlin. Visitors: Inside, you have the opportunity to visit the works free of charge from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
