In Berlin-Mitte, construction work on the Mühlendamm Bridge begins from Monday, which is one of the most busy bridges in the region. The bridge -wide diversion leads to restrictions for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.

The challenge for residents and road users

The busy mill bridge in Berlin-Mitte must be replaced by a new building due to its poor condition. This means that from July 15, the southeastern sub -building of the bridge will be blocked and traffic is diverted over the other half.

The construction work on the Mühlendamm Bridge is expected to be completed by 2028/2029. The current costs are estimated at around 80 million euros. A challenge is the review of the tram connection via Leipziger Straße to Potsdamer Platz, which must be coordinated with bridge construction.
