Ver.di criticizes Galeria: unfair remuneration adjustment ensures outrage
The waves are high in Berlin's retail! A flamed conflict between the United Service Union (ver.di) and the Galeria company management ensures excitement and unrest among employees. In the heart of this dispute is the so -called offer for the "adjustment of the remuneration", which ver.di referred to as "poisoned and unmoral"!
Silke Zimmer, a poor member of the ver.di federal executive board, blows to the warning shot: "The announced offer is not only intolerable-it is a slap in the face for all the loyal employees who have kept the shop going for years!" It cannot be grasped! While the Galeria owners apparently float at financial heights, the employees are fighting for their fair remuneration!
The anger of the employees
The reason for the heated discussions? Galeria has terminated the integration collective agreement and is now obliged to negotiate with ver.di about a connection regulation. But instead of creating fair conditions, the management apparently tries to enforce its own interests. The room is pissed off and explains: "With your offer to adjust the remuneration without a tariff, the new owners want to pull the employees over the table!"
sharp words about sharp developments! According to rooms, the employees at Galeria already earn almost 30 percent less than their colleagues with a collective agreement in retail. Your criticism is clear: to promise more money, while the legal right to the previous services is removed, the purest extortion! "It sounds tempting, but the conditions are a rip -off!" she calls.
The pressure grows
Another alarming detail that heats the minds: The management demands that 90 percent of the colleagues of a branch have to agree to the offer so that it becomes effective. "This is nothing more than an attempt to force the consent through pressure - that violates the principle of individual contractual freedom!", Rooms are outraged.
The message is clear: ver.di calls on the Galeria leadership to finally negotiate fairly and to refrain from their "poisoned offers". While the union raises the employee's voice, it remains to be seen how the management will react. One thing is certain: the resistance of the employees is certainly not to be ignored!
Marcel Schäuble is available for questions. Contact details and more information can be found on the official website of ver.di.
