On Friday, a terrible crime occurred in Berlin. A dead baby was taken to a hospital. Already the following day it became clear that the baby's father, a 37-year-old man, is said to have drowned his son. The man's apartment in the Lichtenberg district of Berlin was identified as the crime scene, as the police and prosecutors announced on Saturday. According to information from the Bild newspaper, the father is said to have killed the boy in the bathtub.

The man is said to have then put his son's lifeless body in the trunk of his car and, together with his parents, drove to the Berlin accident hospital in Marzahn. There the child was autopsied the same night. The police and public prosecutor confirmed this information.

The father was arrested shortly afterwards. An arrest warrant was requested against him for a homicide that is to be issued in the course of Saturday.

The police secured traces in the apartment of the apartment building in Hohenschönhausen until early morning, in which the father and the baby lived. It is believed that the crime scene took place there. The mother, who, according to information from the Bild newspaper, is said to have left the apartment about an hour before the crime, has not yet been interviewed. Even the boy's five -year -old sister was not present in the apartment at the time of the crime.
