Implementation of the Consumer Cannabis Act: Senate administration works intensively on the responsibility regulation
New contact point for questions about the Cannabis law-berlin.de
In Berlin there is a new central point of contact for questions about the Cannabis Act. The Senate Health Department is intensively working on the implementation of the Consumer Cannabis Act (KCang) and is in close exchange with the Senate Chancellery as well as all Senate administrations and the districts affected in terms of content.
A spokeswoman said that the responsibility regulation for the settlement procedure is currently being prepared with the thematically affected Senate administrations. After completing this step, the regulation is presented to the Senate for approval. The district mayors then have the opportunity to make their opinion. Only then is the regulation officially presented to the House of Representatives.
Although no specific time frames have been mentioned, there is already a draft for a catalog of fines. However, the exact details of the planned measures and fines are not yet publicly known.
The creation of such a contact point signals the seriousness of Berlin administration to implement the Consumer Cannabis Act and create clear regulations. Citizens and companies as well as companies who have questions about the law and the planned measures can now contact this central body to obtain information and clarify ambiguities.
