Workshops for children and adolescents: Art project in Berlin-Altglienicke promotes integration and participation.

After the successful completion of the first workshop series in Berlin Altglienicke, further workshops will take place in the municipal gallery Adlershof and the initial reception facility for refugees in a second round. The workshops are aimed at children and adolescents between the ages of 8 and 17 and aim to create large -format banners that are presented in urban space.

The current workshops have been taking place in the initial reception facility in Qutittenweg since October 16. There the participants are introduced to the spray and stencil technology, while further workshops take place in the placement rooms of the gallery. In cooperation with the art mediation of the gallery, the participants develop multilingual image and text collages.

The workshops are promoted by means of the district cultural work from the action plan of the overall concept for the integration and participation of refugees. The event is a cooperation between the municipal galleries Treptow-Köpenick and the initial reception facility for refugees in Berlin-Alglienicke. The project is made by the head of the municipal galleries Treptow-Köpenick, Dr. des. Meta Marina Beeck, the photographer and art mediator Constanze Flame and the art mediator Miriam Trostorf designed and carried out.
