Vernissage: Hand drawings by John Karl Gotthard Niedlich

On March 2, 2024, a new exhibition, “Living beings - Hand drawings by Johannes Karl Gotthard Niedlich, 1949 - 2014”, will take place at the Köpenick Central Library. The artist, illustrator and designer numerous book titles are presented with his unique works, which are characterized by detail, simplicity, seriousness and irony. Johannes Karl Gotthard Niedlich, who illustrated both for the GDR and the FRG, died 10 years ago. His life's work is recognized in a retrospective on April 24, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., with a lecture by Dieter Bräkow. The vernissage takes place on March 1, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., accompanied by a book table and musical performance by Annemarie van Hoof.

The exhibition runs until May 4, 2024 and can be viewed in the foyer during the opening hours of the library.
