Road safety: Trees in Hirschgarten fell - 25. KW 2024
In the coming week from June 17th to 21st, 2024, the street and green space office will have to fell two trees in the deer garden due to traffic safety. The maple tree with the tree no. 24/2, a circumference of 254 cm and a height of 25 m, shows strong aging, bark detachments and high risk of breakage. The chestnut tree with the tree no. 24/1, a size of 35 cm and a height of 7 m, must also be felled for safety reasons.
The felling of trees for reasons of traffic safety is an important step to ensure the safety of passers -by and road users. In urban green areas such as the deer garden, it is particularly important to carry out regular controls in order to recognize and eliminate potential dangers at an early stage Historically, trees in cities play an important role in the cityscape and the quality of life of the residents. They donate shadows, regulate the climate, filter pollutants from the air and contribute to biodiversity. It is therefore particularly unfortunate if trees have to be felled for safety reasons. Nevertheless, the security of the top priority and measures such as the timely felling of endangered trees are essential.
