Renovation of the Alt-Treptow district library in Berlin: New children's corner and cozy reading corners are created. Closing time from December 4th to December 8th and December 25, 2023 to January 12, 2024. No reminder fees during this time.

The work takes place in the children's library on the 1st floor and include the purchase of modern, child -friendly shelves and the redesign of the furniture to create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The project is funded by the AVA program and supported with around EUR 38,000.

As a Berlin citizen, I welcome these renovation measures, which will help to increase the attractiveness and quality of stay of the district library. The creation of an appealing environment and comfortable seating will certainly help to ensure that children and their parents feel good in the library and like to spend time there.

It is commendable that the measure is promoted by the AVA program, as this shows that the Senate Department for Culture and Europe recognizes the importance of public libraries for the community and actively campaigns for its modernization and improvement

During the closing time of the library, visitors do not develop any reminder fees and borrowed media are automatically extended. This is a customer -friendly regulation and shows that the needs of library visitors are taken into account during the renovation work.
