Framework contract tree felling: urgent measures for traffic safety in Berlin.

In the course of the current framework contract "tree felling", tree felling will be carried out in the next 5 weeks between November 6 and December 15, 2023 in Berlin. This is done for reasons of traffic safety and is carried out by three contract companies on behalf of the street and green area office. The measures focus on the period from October to the end of February due to bird protection period.

The planned tree felling is expected to lead to temporary traffic restrictions, since some streets and paths have to be blocked while working. Residents in the affected areas should adapt to temporary impairments. In addition, the green areas are redesigned and planted according to the felling to compensate for the loss of trees.
