Well -known artist Reinhardt Grimm died

District City Councilor Marco Brauchmann announced that the painter, sculptor and stage designer Reinhardt Grimm, who worked in Berlin-Köpenick, died. Grimm was an important artist of the Treptow-Köpenick district and significantly shaped the region's art scene. Between 2008 and 2018 he took part in numerous group exhibitions of the municipal gallery of the old school and also achieved internationally recognition through projects at home and abroad.

Reinhardt Grimm studied painting at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences and then worked as a freelance artist. Inspired by theater work, he later devoted himself to the sculpture and created unique kinetic sculptures that formed his focus.

Especially in the area of the stage and costume design, Grimm was characterized by rigorous artistic-intellectual approach. His works were listed on renowned theaters such as the Free Volksbühne, the Theater an der Parkaue in Berlin, the Schlossplatztheater Köpenick, the Landestheater in Neustrelitz and others.

The talented artist was buried on April 2, 2024 in the cemetery of the Evangelical City Church community Köpenick in Rudower Strasse. The Treptow-Köpenick district mourns the loss of Reinhardt Grimm, whose work and influence on the art world will remain unforgettable.
