Industriesalon Schöneweide: Bine exhibition is studying the police from 03.02.2024

On February 03, 2024, the exhibition “Bine is studying the police” will open in the Schöneweide industrial salon in Berlin. The exhibition shows 60 selected photographs from the archive of the industrial salon, which document the life of the people in Oberschöneweide from 1897 to the end of the GDR in 1990. In addition to technical-historical writings and photos of technical equipment, the photos of the work, leisure and travel of people in Oberschöneweide tell.

The curator Albert Markert selected and put together the photographs. Visitors have the opportunity to take part in a hands-on campaign in which they can bring historical photos of industrial or residential buildings from Oberschöneweide. As a reward you will receive a glass of sparkling wine per person and the photos are exhibited on an extra wall, possibly you can also be adopted in the archive of the industrial salon.

The exhibition is free of charge for visitors and runs from February 03 to April 5, 2024. The opening times are Wednesday to Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The opening will take place on February 3rd at 4 p.m.

The exhibition "Bine Studiert the police" offers visitors the opportunity to get an insight into the history and life of the people in Oberschöneweide. The historical photos document the development and changes of the district over a period of more than 100 years and thus offer an exciting insight into local history. Visitors have the opportunity to contribute personal photos and thus actively participate in the design of the exhibition. This promotes the interaction and integration of the community in the presentation of local history.
