Together against loneliness: Festival in the Allende-Kiez on May 28th!

Together against loneliness: Festival in the Allende-Kiez on May 28th!

In Berlin, an important event will take place on May 28, 2025, which is dedicated to loneliness. Under the motto "Together instead of alone", the Office for Social Affairs invites you to the Allende-Kiez from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event is organized in cooperation with various partners such as the Berlin home visits, offensive’91, Degewo and other local organizations. The event location is Alfred-Randt-Str. 11 - 13.

The event aims to bring people together and promote social contacts. Various activities such as games, creative design of postcards and an exchange with the employees of the cooperating institutions are offered. The physical well -being is also taken care of: coffee and cake are ready. District City Councilor Carolin Weingart has called for participation and exchange, and the volunteer office can be reached under the specified contact details.

The current loneliness problem

The problem of loneliness affects millions of people in Germany and runs through all age groups and life situations. Studies show that women in old age in particular are often more affected. But younger people also often feel lonely. The health, psychological and social consequences of loneliness are serious and make it clear how important social participation is. A large number of scientific work deals with the risk factors and the effects that can have loneliness on the persons concerned, such as in the expert analysis of ZQP

The Federal Ministry for Family, Seniors, Women and Youth is actively committed to loneliness. Over 70 projects are funded as part of the ESF Plus program "Strengthening older people", which has been running since October 2022 to September 2027. These projects are primarily aimed at older people aged 60 and over and aim at building regional networking structures. The ministry promotes, among other things, the model project "Fit and connected to loneliness", which offers movement and sports offers for all ages, especially for people with immigration history.

Important offers to combat loneliness

All over Germany are now 530 funded multi -generation houses that act as places of encounter and offer a wide range of activities. These houses offer low-threshold encounter offers, cultural and creative offers as well as leisure and sports activities to prevent social isolation. Another step to combat loneliness is promoted by programs such as "Co -cohesion - connecting people" who start in 20 municipalities in September 2024 and aim at people in medium -sized adulthood.

In addition, help telephones support how the number against grief and telephone counseling, people who suffer from loneliness and need help. These offers are part of a comprehensive strategy that aims to reduce social isolation and promote community.
