Europe up close: Eurojam 2024 and festival for democracy in Treptow-Köpenick

In the coming weeks, citizens in Treptow-Köpenick have the opportunity to experience Europe up close. The focus is on two events: the Eurojam 2024 and the festival for democracy and tolerance in Schönweide.

at the Eurojam 2024, which takes place on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 6 p.m. in the Arena Treptow and at the bathing ship Berlin, visitors can expect exciting impulses and new thoughts from profiled representatives from various social areas. A very special guest is the former Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras. This promises an interesting and versatile event for everyone who is interested in European topics and discussions.

The festival for democracy and tolerance in Schönweide will take place on Saturday, May 25th, 2024 on Michael-Brückner-Platz in the Spree, Flood and Schnellstrasse. Here four school classes present their thoughts on the EU as part of a hip-hop competition on the big stage. Visitors are invited to cheer on the young people and to vote on the winning class. There is also a youth area that informs about the upcoming EU election on June 9, 2024 and offers interesting insights.

These two events offer a good opportunity to deal with Europe and European topics and at the same time spend an exciting and entertaining day.
