The Technical Youth Education Association in practice has been offering these possibilities in its workshops and with professional advice since 2020.
Every Thursday, except in the Berlin holiday season, visitors have the opportunity to let their creativity run free in various workshops. This ranges from handicrafts, crafts, painting and experimenting with renewable energies, bionics, electronics and physics to projects from biochemistry. Visitors can also dive into the world of 3D printing and laser cuts and design individual objects that are then printed out or lasered. In addition, options for jewelry and sewing projects are offered. Repairs and help for self-help, especially for bicycles and electronics or electrical devices, are also offered.
The association also emphasizes the social aspect in addition to the financial aspect that is in repair and making it yourself and wants to be a role model for the young generation. Admission is free, but a small material cost contribution is charged for certain offers.
The technical youth education association in practice e. V., founded in 2002, is active in the field of scientific and technical youth education and has since expanded its offers steadily and has expanded the target groups. In addition to the Technical Children's and Youth Academy Meteum, the learning and inventor's workshop, the senior academy and a 3D workshop were also established, to name just a few projects.
