Generations bridging: German-Polish youth project reveals historical murals in Berlin
Exhibition opening: Beyond Walls - Bridging History
On August 24, 2024, the German-Polish Society Berlin e. V. together with their partners warmly at the opening of the Beyond Walls - Bridging History. The event goes beyond the simple show of works of art and offers a look at the connection between historical events and its importance for modern society.
The exhibition marks the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw uprising and illuminates the fights of the Polish home army, which rose in 1944 to free its city. The event offers a unique perspective on the events of that time and its effects on the youth of today. Visitors can look at works created by young people as part of a German-Polish youth project, which promotes intercultural dialogue.
The exhibition takes place in the Volkshochschule Treptow-Köpenick, on the 1st floor on Baumschulenstrasse 79-81, 12437 Berlin, and is accessible to the public from August 24 to September 2, 2024. If you are interested in a unique connection between the past and the present, you should not miss this event.
The project is made possible by the German Class Lottery Berlin as part of the #63 days. This event is part of the celebrations for the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising in Berlin and underlines the importance of German-Polish friendship and cooperation.
