Construction is increasing: lines require construction time until the end of the summer

The construction work in Teskowallee in Berlin has developed into a fundamental new building of the road due to heavily worn -out gullies, shafts and lines at risk of breakage. The completion, which was originally planned for mid -March, is now expected to be completed only at the end of the summer vacation. The work concerns the lanes towards north and require temporary single -lane on the oncoming lane.

Since November 2023, the road and civil engineering work in Treskowallee has been running after it has been found that the road was no longer safe from traffic due to the strong stress due to the vehicle traffic and age of the shafts and street processes. The district of Treptow-Köpenick and the Berlin water operations have decided not only to renovate the road, but also to renew the shafts, street processes and lines underneath.

In the construction work, it was found that the drinking water tube and the sewage pressure lines have too little covering with soil and consisting of the little movement -tolerant material gray cast. For safety reasons, the lines must now be replaced over a length of approx. 600 m for new pipes made of ductile cast iron, which is significantly more resistant.

The Berlin water operations work with high pressure on the exchange of the lines. The drinking water pipe has already been expanded halfway and the rebuild has started. The drinking water pipe should be completed at the end of April, followed by the laying of a provisional replacement management for a wastewater pressure line. After the replacement and re -enactment of the wastewater pressure lines, road construction is carried out, which should be completed by the end of summer.
