Trees must be felled: traffic safety in Berlin endangered
In the week from January 15th to 19th, 2024, several trees must be felled due to traffic safety reasons. This affects various locations such as Dammvorstadt, Rahnsdorf, Bohnsdorf and Altglienicke. The trees have various problems such as dying, mushroom infestation, rot or undesirable development and therefore represent a potential danger. Among other things, rotdorn, maple, pasture and linden are affected. The exact data of the felling, tree species, scope and height as well as the reasons for the precipitation are listed in the following table.
These measures are necessary to ensure the safety of passers -by and road users. It is important that the healthy trees are preserved and the endangered or sick trees are removed to avoid potential accidents.
