25 years of town twinning: Film screening Ainbo in Berlin on October 28, 2023 at 3 p.m.

On October 28, 2023, the film “Ainbo - guardian of the Amazon” will take place in the Union Filmtheater in Berlin. This event is part of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the city partnership between Treptow-Köpenick and the northern Peruvian province of Cajamarca.

"Ainbo-guardian of the Amazon" is a Peruvian animated film from 2021, which revolves around the young warrior Ainbo and her adventures in the Amazon jungle. With the help of her ghost leader Dillo, a belt animal, and Vaca, a tapir, Ainbo goes on a journey to save her threatened home.

The city partnership between Treptow-Köpenick and Cajamarca has existed since 1998 and is supported by many committed people from various areas of life, such as kindergartens, schools, senior groups and municipal facilities. The main goal of the partnership is the mutual exchange of knowledge and experiences as well as working together on the 17 global sustainability goals of the United Nations.

This film screening is another way to celebrate the connection between Treptow-Köpenick and Cajamarca and to point out the importance of the city twinning.
