Experience unique art! On September 28, 2024, the Jugendkunstschule Treptow-Köpenick opens its doors from 2 to 6 p.m. for the big anniversary celebration! The place of action? Mentzelstraße 28a, right in the courtyard building. It is celebrated here what it takes - for 10 years!
Marco Brauchmann, the district councilor for further training, school, culture and sport, is proud of the impressive development of the youth art school, which saw the light of day in the Alt-Treptower Jukuz "Gérard Philipe" in 2014. Six years of breast of breast with creativity: Today the school in Köpenick shines and runs through the entire artist's heart of the district!

Since the opening, over 10,000 young talents have used the chance to develop their creative expression. Ten years full of color and imagination! With more than 30 professional artists and many committed art educators, the youth art school is a real hotspot for everyone who loves art. Here even six young people have completed their voluntary social year of culture in a creative environment and actively supported the artistic management.
Children and adolescents from fabulous 29 different schools, including Spindlersfeld, Köpenick, Rahnsdorf and many more, come together here to live out their passion for art. But that's just the beginning! Cooperations with other art brokers, such as the municipal gallery and the Reinbeckhallen, also show how much creative life in the district develops.

This big anniversary is not only a reason to celebrate, but also an invitation to everyone, part of this colorful community! On September 28th there will be music, inspiring exhibitions and an open Juks house. Curious guests can get to know and try out a wide variety of techniques and media. Let yourself be enchanted by art and discover your own creative talent!
The youth art school offers an important, low -threshold offer for the creative offspring. It is a place where young people learn non -verbal forms of expression that help them develop and communicate. The past three years have been particularly exciting, with numerous festivals and a lively face in the urban space thanks to the state program outside. Art for self -making was the motto at festivals in Altglienicke, Oberschöneweide and at the Köpenick Sommer.
