On September 15, 2024, the third summer festival will take place in the GermanIAGarten, an event that has established itself as a permanent institution in the district in recent years. From the beginning in 2022, the summer festival was an initiative that relied on the support of numerous volunteers. This first step has quickly become a large joint project that was strengthened by the participation of many local actors, neighborhood councilors and the QM team. The commitment of these people makes it clear how important social cohesion is in the neighborhood and how events like this promote the feeling of community.

This year, the festival will be under the patronage of Mr. Machulik, the State Secretary for Housing and Tenant Protection, as well as the district councilor Eva Majewski, who will welcome the visitors together. Mr. Machulik emphasizes the importance of such events: "The summer festival is a great example of how we can come together as a society and strengthen our neighborhoods."

The local community has put together a varied program for the festival. Participants can be found everywhere, which are supported by almost all facilities in the neighborhood. Enjoy live music, delicious snacks and numerous activities for children, including two bouncy castles and a climbing tower. This diversity helps every visitor, whether young or old, feel addressed and has the opportunity to make new contacts.

This event is supported by the “Social Cohesion” program of the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Living, which underlines the importance of financial support for such initiatives.
