Regionalkasse Tempelhof-Schöneberg: District promotes neighborhood projects with 72,000 euros

The district of Tempelhof-Schöneberg is making 72,000 euros available for projects this year that are intended to revitalize, embellish and bring together the neighborhood. Last year, 31 projects have already been realized by committed private individuals, associations and providers, including insect-friendly designs in public space, cultural events, neighborhood festivals, the creation of information material for the neighborhood as well as flea and exchange markets. The regional coordinators of the position for coordination and participation have been calling for all people who want to get involved in Tempelhof-Schöneberg for the neighborhood since the beginning of the year.

This municipal funding program has a direct impact on the local neighborhood in Tempelhof-Schöneberg. The financial support of up to 3,000 euros per project enables residents to implement creative ideas that strengthen the sense of community and improve the quality of life on site. The diversity of the funded projects in the past year shows that the neighborhood initiatives were able to implement a variety of activities and measures to promote coexistence.

Historically, the commitment to the neighborhood in Germany is deeply rooted. Initiatives to beautify and revitalize the neighborhood have been in many German communities for centuries.
