Premiere: Theater Youth Club presents Controlled! At the Ostkreuz

On March 20, 2024 at 6 p.m., the premiere of the new production of the theater youth club will take place in the Theater Strahl at the Ostkreuz. Under the title "Control!" Present the "ensemble illuminated" a participatory piece development in which the players themselves took control of theater staging. Accompanied by theater professionals, they decided what is happening on stage and how the costumes are designed. The costumes were created as part of an inclusive winter holiday workshop of the Volkshochschule Tempelhof-Schöneberg by the "Ensemble".

The staging promises a fun and uncontrollable experience that explores the limits of chaos. The plot includes two young people who gain an adventure trip to nowhere, a late owner who loses control, as well as real estate sharks and kebab who dominate the city. Only a dance demonstration seems to be the solution.

The Theater Youth Club on the Ostkreuz is known for its innovative and participatory productions and has already attracted attention in the past. By integrating young people into the decision -making processes of the productions, not only their creative potential is promoted, but also enables a new perspective on the theater experience.

It remains to be seen how the audience is "checked!" will react and what impulses this unconventional staging will set for the local theater scene.
