In the course of his visit to the Piereg Druck Center in Marienfelde, district mayor Jörn Oltmann praised the company for his commitment to sustainability and responsible business. The printing company is proud to maintain the environmental angel and is also actively committed to local communities, as with the tailor -made provision of painting paper for daycare centers in the district.
In addition, the Piereg Printing supports a multitude of non -profit organizations and events, including the Oberlinhaus, the Federal Performance Center in Kienbaum, the Amateur Band Festival Rocktreff, the district game festival for families, an orphanage in Ethiopia, the Elisabeth Foundation in Berlin and various sports teams.
The history of Piereg goes back to 2003 when the company took over the House printing of the Edeka Group and set itself the goal of creating a quality printing company that assumes ecological and social responsibility.
The printing company has nine paper brands, pay attention to short delivery routes and uses recycled material from Brandenburg. In addition, a photovoltaic system produces up to 40 percent of the daily electricity requirement, and the roofs of the buildings are greened.
The Piereg Druck Center currently employs 63 people and is one of the 3 largest printers in Berlin. In December 2023, the company celebrated its twenty -year existence and received the environmental brick Blau angel on time for the anniversary.
