On September 10, 2025, the new department G01 was opened at the renowned Heidefriedhof in Mariendorf, Berlin opened. This division includes 286 earthen burial sites for adults and 17 special earthen burial sites for children. All burial sites face Mecca, which is particularly important for Muslim burials. The burials in this new grave field will now be integrated into the regular funeral operations.

About the Heidefriedhof
The Heidefriedhof is an important resting place that was built in 1951 by the architect Bernhard Kynast.
