Landscape planning Marienfelde: Citizens asked to comment

The district office Tempelhof-Schöneberg has decided to set up the landscape plan 7-l-6 "Landscape Park Marienfelde" in June 2020. This plan is intended to secure open spaces in the southern part of Marienfelde and to determine nature conservation development goals. District City Councilor Dr. Saskia Ellenbeck emphasized the high ecological importance of the area around the former district nursery in Marienfelde and emphasized the goal of securing and further developing it.

As part of the public participation according to the Berlin Nature Conservation Act, the planning documents are publicly interpreted from April 9 to May 8, 2024. During this period, citizens have the opportunity to find out about the planning goals and to give their own statements. The district office invites all interested people to take part in the events and actively participate.

The Marienfelde landscape park is an important part of the local ecosystem and offers habitat for a variety of animal and plant species. The drawing up of a landscape plan is therefore an important step to maintain biodiversity and ecological diversity in this area.

historical facts show that Marienfelde was strongly affected by industrial development and urbanization in the past. By creating the landscape park, an attempt is now made to compensate and to preserve a space for nature and relaxation.

A table with information on the planned measures, the affected areas and the planned nature conservation goals could help to give readers a better overview of the planned activities as part of the landscape plan.

Overall, the installation of the 7-l-6 landscape plan "Landscape Park Marienfelde" is an important step to protect nature and the environment in this area in the long term. The citizens are called up to actively participate in the planning and to contribute their opinions and suggestions to ensure a sustainable development of the landscape park.
