Jubilee spring festival: allotments as green oases in Berlin

The allotments in Berlin are not only important oases of calm for the residents, but also significant habitats for plants and animals. The Tempelhof district association celebrates its 100th anniversary and cordially invites everyone interested to take part in the festivities. District City Councilor Dr. Saskia Ellenbeck praises the committed work of the two district associations, which enable the administration and maintenance of the over 7,000 allotment gardens in the district. A varied program awaits visitors, including bungee jumping for children, shows, live music, information stands for allotment garden and fireworks at the end. In addition, the flyer "My allotment garden- ten measures for more biodiversity and climate adjustment" is presented, which was developed by the Environmental and Nature Conservation Office of the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district office. District City Councilor Dr. Saskia Ellenbeck took over.
