International football tournament: Young people from 14 partner cities play and celebrate in Berlin
The district mayor Jörn Oltmann had first invited girls and young teams from the 14 partner cities of the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district to an international football tournament. More than 200 young people from cities such as Ahlen, Amstelveen, Bad Kreuznach, Barnet, Koszalin, Levallois-Perret and others met on the Dominicus sports field in the Priesterweg to play football, friendship and deepen the connections between the partner cities.
The two -day tournament was a great success and was rounded off by an exciting festival between the tournament days. In addition to the young people, official representatives of the partner cities and sports tour teams were also present to strengthen the cooperation. Special thanks went to the supporters of the tournament, including the district sports association Tempelhof-Schöneberg e.V., FC Internationale, TSV Mariendorf, DLRG Tempelhof and other partners for their help.
The positive response and the experience of the young people help to consolidate the city partner relationships and to emphasize the importance of sporting activity and cultural exchange. These international events help to strengthen the sense of community and diversity in the region.
