Green Buddy Award 2024: Apply now and submit sustainable projects

The Green Buddy Award goes into the next round and is looking for innovative young people and committed companies that are committed to ecology and sustainability for the thirteenth time. The application deadline ends on April 15, 2024. The sustainability prize is awarded in six categories, three of them in Berlin and three for the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district. The categories include retail, waste prevention, smart cities solutions, renewable energies, production/services/craft and the Young Green Buddy. Each category is awarded an individual buddy bear, prize money of 2,000 euros and a certificate. The award ceremony will take place on June 6, 2024 in the Metropol.

The Green Buddy Award is awarded in cooperation with the district office Tempelhof-Schöneberg and various cooperation partners, including Buddy Bär Berlin GmbH, Berlin Partner for Economics and Technology, the Investment Bank Berlin, the Berlin city cleaning, the Marienpark Berlin, the environmental and nature conservation office of the district and the trade association Berlin-Brandenburg. The aim of the award is to appreciate companies, play an important role in their corporate philosophy for ecology and sustainability. Previous developments in this area are recognized and rewarded by the awarding of the Green Buddy Awards. The award ceremony also represents an incentive to actively work for the environment and implement innovative projects.

The iniative to the Green Buddy Award is based on the foundation of the Buddy Bär Berlin, which was launched in 2001. Since then, the prize has developed into a renowned award and enjoys high recognition both locally and internationally. The variety of categories reflects the wide range of possibilities of how companies and young people can work for environmental protection and sustainability.

So far, more than 300 companies and young sustainability pioneers have taken part in the Green Buddy Award and submitted their projects. The award ceremony on June 6, 2024 in the Metropol will again be a highlight for all those interested in environmental and sustainability.
