Promotion application for solar plug systems possible by the end of the year!
The press release No. 179 of May 22, 2024 informs that tenants of allotment gardens in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district now have the opportunity to apply for funding for network-independent solar plug systems. The use of photovoltaics in allotment gardens is seen as an important element to achieve a climate -neutral city. With the amendment of the Solarplus funding guideline and the announcement of September 29, 2023 in the Official Journal for Berlin, the prerequisites were created to enable this funding. District City Councilor Dr. Saskia Ellenbeck emphasizes the advantages of using solar energy in allotment gardens, since they not only help to reduce energy costs, but also make a contribution to reducing CO2 emissions.
The funding applications can be made at IBB Business Team GmbH by December 31, 2024, provided the required requirements are met. The necessary adjustments in the intermediate lease contracts with the district associations of the allotment gardeners have already been made to ensure the implementation of the funding guidelines. Interested parties will find the leaflet for applying for a photovoltaic system on the website of the district association of allotment gardeners Schöneberg-Friedenau e.V. and the district association of the allotment gardeners e.V. Tempelhof. The funding application itself can be found on the IBB Business Team GmbH.
The use of renewable energies, such as solar energy, represents an important step on the way to the energy transition and climate protection. By giving tenants from allotment gardens the opportunity to create their own energy, they actively contribute to reducing the CO2 footprint. Historically, the promotion of renewable energies in Germany has increased continuously in recent years in order to promote the expansion of alternative energy sources.
It remains to be seen how many tenants of allotment gardens in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district will make use of this funding and what influence this will have in the long term on the regional energy transition.
