Feminist alliances: together for general interest and equality

The importance of feminist alliances in today's society

In view of the increasing global challenges and the emergence of backward -looking ideologies, the formation and strengthening of feminist alliances are becoming increasingly important. A event of the Berlin Women's Association 1945 e.V., which has recently taken place in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district, served as a platform to promote these alliances and to discuss the role of women in social projects.

The event under the umbrella of
Jörn Oltmann , the district mayor, brought together numerous interested parties and representatives of women's and social projects. In his opening speech, he emphasized: "In times of backward -looking ideologies, it is essential to build strong and interdisciplinary alliances." A clear call for active participation and use for social justice.

Highlights of the event included various workshops that dealt with the strengthening of feminist movements and the formation of new alliances. Particular attention was paid to the lecture by
Bianca Walther , a historian and podcasterin, who showed in her lecture "From sewing threads to the atomic bomb" how diverse the political currents that shape our society.

In addition, the community celebrated the 140th birthday of dr. Agnes from Zahn-Harnack as well as the 35th anniversary of the project "Grand Parental Service-grandchildren fit". These occasions were not only recognized, but also served as inspiration for the coming generations.

The event promoted the intergenerational exchange and enabled the participants to discuss current challenges and develop solutions.
mechthild rawwert , chair of the Berlin women's association, said: "It is important to us to inspire younger women for the association work." only through a strong association work can be maintained and expanded, especially in economic difficult times.

This event is not only of local, but of social interest. It represents an essential step to illustrate feminist perspectives and their relevance in modern discourse. Interested parties are invited to learn more on the website of the Berlin women's association and to actively participate in future initiatives.
