CrossKultur Festival 2023: District Mayor Jörn Oltmann opens up a variety of programs in Tempelhof-Schöneberg

On Friday, November 17, 2023, the festival will open in the Willy Brandt Hall of the Schöneberg town hall. The district mayor of Tempelhof-Schöneberg, Jörn Oltmann, will take over the opening, followed by music from the singer and songwriter Tayo Awosusi-Onutor. The festival, which runs until December 17, 2023, offers a varied program that deals with topics such as equality, peace, dialogue and cohesion. Some of the highlights are the hiking exhibition "Peace Counts" in the intercultural house in Schöneberg, a decolonial leadership and the cultural festival of the Maghreb countries in the neighborhood center / multi-generation house Steinmetzstrasse.

There will also be discussions with "living books" and Holocaust survivors. The festival is actively committed to the visibility of various communities of Color and is supported by the Berghof Foundation, an independent non-governmental organization based in Berlin, which is committed to promoting peace, peace education and conflict transformation.
