Telekom contradicts Höcke: Legal steps checked
Deutsche Telekom reacted decisively to the claim of the AfD politician Björn Höcke regarding a supposed earlier advertising logan of the company and examines legal steps. During a TV duel with the CDU politician Mario Voigt, Höcke claimed that Telekom used the sentence "Everything for Germany" a few years ago as an advertising saying. Telekom rejected this claim and announced legal steps.
The slogan in question "Everything for Germany" is a forbidden solution of the storm department (SA), the paramilitary fighting organization of the NSDAP. Due to the use of this slogan in a speech, Björn Höcke will have to answer to the district court in Halle next week because of the accusation of using the license plate.
It is not the first time that Telekom reacts to such false claims. Last year, the company made AG against the AfD federal spokeswoman Alice Weidel, who had also stated that Telekom had used the slogan in question as a advertising logan. Telekom asked Weidel to refrain from this claim.
in the TV duel Höcke defended his choice of words and claimed that during the speech he didn't know that it was a SA slogan. He described the sentence as a "common saying". Telekom then reacted clearly to the untrue claims and opposed the spread of false information.
