Telekom contradicts Höcke: No advertising logan everything for Germany
Deutsche Telekom has rejected a statement by the AfD politician Björn Höcke regarding an alleged former advertising slogan of the company and is considering legal steps. During a TV duel with the CDU politician Mario Voigt, Höcke claimed that Telekom used the sentence "Everything for Germany" a few years ago. However, a company spokesman emphasized that this claim was wrong and that the matter would be forwarded to the lawyers.
The sentence "Everything for Germany" in question is a forbidden solution of the SA, the paramilitary fighting organization of the NSDAP. Due to the use of this slogan in a speech, Höcke must be responsible for the allegation of using the license plate for the accusation of an anti -constitutional organizations.
Last year, Telekom had already acted against the AfD federal spokeswoman Alice Weidel, who also claimed that the group had used the sentence mentioned as an advertising slogan. After a request from Telekom, Weidel agreed to refrain from this claim in the future.
Höcke, who works as a history teacher, defended his choice of words during the TV duel and stated that it was not known during the speech that it was a SA slogan. He described the sentence as a "common saying". However, Telekom has made it clear that the politician's statement does not correspond to the facts in relation to the company's former advertising slogan.
