Telekom defends itself: Höcke's Nazi sloters incorrectly assigned

Deutsche Telekom rejected a statement by the AfD politician Björn Höcke, according to which the company allegedly used the advertising slogan "Everything for Germany". The AfD top candidate for the state election in Thuringia had made this claim during a TV duel against CDU politician Mario Voigt. Telekom confirmed that the statement was wrong and checked legal steps.

"Everything for Germany" is a forbidden slogan of the Sturm Department (SA) of the NSDAP. Björn Höcke must answer before the district court in Halle for accusation of using the license plate. This results from its use of the slogans in a speech.

Telekom had already taken legal steps against AfD federal spokeswoman Alice Weidel last year, who also claimed that the group had used the slogan in question in the past as an advertising saying. Weidel was asked to refrain from this statement and agreed to refrain from doing so in the future.

Björn Höcke, who works as a history teacher, justified his choice of words during the TV duel and stated that it was a SA slogan. He described the saying as a "common saying". It remains to be seen how the legal steps on the part of Deutsche Telekom and the legal proceedings against Höcke will continue.
